RaceStation has a new F1 champion for the 2018 season, the McLaren driver Horst_der_Dieb! Horst has taken the title after an impressive first full season in the F1 league taking a total of 6 wins, 5 pole positions and 337 points along the way.
Taking the runners up spot is the Toro Rosso driver keyobemi-f1. Keyo was in control of the title for most of the season, however a few holidays coupled with a strong end of season performance from Horst meant that Keyo was demoted to 2nd place as we approached the last few races of the season. Keyo’s team mate TLK-_-2010 was the third placed this year, meaning this was enough to allow Toro Rosso to secure 1st place in the constructors championship.
The season may have turned out differently, but a number of front running drivers were not able to see out all 21 races, however Horst demonstrated superb pace through out the whole season, and strategically rarely made a bad call.
Overall the 2018 season has been a pretty good one. Despite a few bugs in the game, it has been one of the more enjoyable in the Codemasters F1 series, with many drivers finding the extra grip of the cars made them much more enjoyable to drive compared to previous years. Let’s just hope that Codemasters are able to produce an even better game for F1 2019, it is certainly is looking better but hopefully it will also be big free with a working safety car (too much to ask?).
Congratulations to Horst, the Toro Rosso team, and thank you to all drivers for taking part in the 2018 RaceStation F1 league!
