Stewards & Kimi’s appeal against TLK: Decision – More than one defensive move and causing a collision which resulted in damage.

Upon reviewing the footage, you can see that Kimi is in the slipstream of TLK whilst also using DRS going down the pit straight. Initially TLK holds it tight against the pit wall, but then moves left and then back right. As TLK moves left and back right, Kimi has got part of his car up the inside. As a result TLK puts Kimi in to the barrier and Kimi suffers wing damage.

Decision is 1 licence point, plus a 15 sec time penalty for causing a collision which resulted in damage and a further licence point for illegal weaving/blocking.

As always, anyone has the right to counter appeal a decision made by the next FiA meeting.
